When I look at the social media landscape in 2025 and heading into 2026, one thing is crystal clear: people don’t trust platforms the way they used to. According to Edelman, trust in social media sits at just 42%—and that number hasn’t moved much this year.
At the same time, short-form video continues to dominate attention. But here’s what I’ve noticed: it’s not the flashy, polished content that’s building trust—it’s the real, unfiltered stories.
For me, this all comes back to two things:
1) Being human.Sharing life experiences alongside business.
2) Speaking to every communication style. Here’s what I know: if you’re only posting in your preferred style, you’re unintentionally leaving out as much as 75% of your audience.
Much like a personality, we also have 4 communication styles in our brain. We want to attract all 4 sometime within a week of posting. so I use this framework.
- Organizer – clean, structured, black-and-white.
- Energizer – vibrant, fun, squiggly, high-energy.
- Analyzer – logical, data-driven, charts and numbers.
- Harmonizer – human, personal stories, connection.
If you want to capture everyone, you’ve got to rotate your messaging so each of these shows up at least once a week. And when you pair that with authentic, human storytelling? That’s where trust is built.
2026 isn’t about posting more often—it’s about posting more intentionally.
